Cookie Policy
Last updated: 21 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ParkAhead uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) when you visit our website or use our app.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar mechanisms used by web apps to remember information between visits.
2. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary — required to sign you in, keep you logged in, remember your language and cookie choice, and secure the Service. These cannot be turned off because the app cannot work without them.
- Functional — remember preferences such as language and app display choices. Removing this storage may reset those preferences.
- Analytics — Google Analytics and PostHog help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. They load only after you select "Allow analytics" in the cookie banner or Cookie preferences.
- Third-party (maps) — Google Maps may set its own cookies or use similar technologies when the map loads. Its use is governed by Google's own policies.
3. Managing cookies
Select "Cookie preferences" in the website footer to change your analytics choice at any time. You can also manage browser storage in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage will prevent sign-in and core app features from working.
4. Do Not Track
We respect "Do Not Track" signals for analytics where your browser sends them.
5. Mobile apps
Native mobile apps do not use browser cookies in the same way as a website. They may store essential authentication and preference data on your device and use a device token only if you allow push notifications. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Changes
If we add new cookies we will update this page and, where required, ask for renewed consent.
